Watched Red Cliff with Shiyan, Fan Di and Simin at Lido yesterday. Have heard a lot about the movie and was really looking forward to watching it although I am not very familiar with the historical background. Glad to say I enjoyed it very much; we all did, I think.

Although 金城武 is indeed too gorgeous and modernized to resemble 诸葛亮 [however he looks like], the character was quite funny , especially during his first visit to find 周瑜 and during the delivery of the pony. His “略懂” [when he apparently 很懂] and “我需要保持冷静” [when he is apparently 很冷静] are really classic.

Found the battle scenes really amazing and artistic, even though I'm not a fan of spurting blood. The 八卦阵 is damn zai! Apparently the original story didn't elaborate much on that, and the director had to come up with the actual 八卦阵 and how they change formation. The solo fighting scenes were really nice too. 张飞 is super cute, like a roaring bear! 赵云 is super 帅!

The ending damn sian lah... All the battle ships were there and ready for so long, and nothing happened. Nothing will happen until the sequel comes out. Anyone has any idea when that will be out?

I was joking about this whole splitting-the-show-into-two thing. This one is called 赤壁 to tell us 曹操要攻打赤壁 and 赤壁在哪里. The next one will then be called 赤壁之战 cuz that's when they start fighting. Basically this show is quite pointless in a way, but it does help to build up everything for the actual 赤壁之战.

I feel like reading the book now. Why wasn't I more intellectual? Should have bought a proper 三国 novel instead of all my 偶像剧 novels. I think my brother has a 三国 book somewhere...

I just realized that once I move into hostel, I'll have to stop my K-ing whatever however wherever whenever. =(

As everyone might or might not know, I'll randomly start singing when I'm at home, and when I'm bathing I'll almost definitely sing. Most of all, I love singing in the lift. The thing about singing in the bathroom or lift is that there's an echo effect which can help hide vocal flaws.

I miss singing already.

Experiment Lip Gloss failed. I think what I bought isn't really lip gloss.

Experiment Mascara was half-successful! I can see my eyelashes now, but it feels weird when I blink.

I shall consider whether or not to proceed with Experiment Eyeliner.

The rest shall wait until 我下一次心血来潮...
