My brain is dead.

I changed my tuition session from yesterday afternoon to this morning. 一开始并没有进入状况, taught my student an unnecessarily long but not incorrect way to solve a remainder theorem question. Thank goodness 我渐入佳境...

After tuition, I went to TP central to get random items which amounted to $40 plus, making me officially broke. I need to withdraw money for shopping/dim sum/xc outing tomorrow. Seriously broke. I need to manage my accounts for October and November, and start planning my expenditure budget for December. Anyway, I got Fasio liquid eyeliner after all, even though I don't trust Fasio very much. I bought it cuz it was the cheapest, below $10 after 20% X'mas discount at Watson's. No point getting an expensive one cuz I have no idea if liquid eyeliner will work for my eyes. I bought that L'Oréal Telescopic® Original Mascara, which is $15.90 after X'mas discount.

I've been eating at weird times these two days. I had 2 slices of walnut cake for breakfast at 6a.m. on Saturday morning, McSpicy for lunch at 4.30p.m., 6-piece hosomaki sushi for dinner at 10.30p.m. while walking from Marina Square to the Esplanade, fried noodle for breakfast at 3a.m. on Sunday morning on a deserted road on Nicoll Highway, fried beehoon for lunch at 11a.m. at Padang, and cake and milk for dinner at 9.30p.m.

On Saturday morning, I pulled myself out of bed at 5.30a.m. cuz I had to get to East Coast Park at 8.15a.m. for FOC car wash and I had no idea how to get there although my brother tried giving me directions. I took bus 31 and alighted opposite Tao Nan School, and walked a long long way to ECP Macs. We waited until 9 plus before moving on to the car park somewhere down from Macs. Haha, none of us in the group - Candy, Evadne, Wei Liang and Wee Koon, had much experience with washing cars. Thank goodness senior Cheryl came along and gave us a crash course on car wash. Business was reasonable. We washed 4 cars and one uncle didn't want a car wash but gave us $10 still. Yeah! I learnt something new! Haha I can wash cars now. =) It's really satisfying to see a car go from 暗淡无光 before washing to 闪闪发亮 after washing. Car wash is fun! The greatest problem is water source.

At around 11a.m., Cheryl drove the 6 of us [Chua Xinyi joined us around then] over to East Coast Lagoon Food Village and business there was woo-hoo~ Xinyi and I were sent to 拉车 [“拉客”，my 客 being 车]. I'm a stalker! Thank goodness the car park at Food Village had only one entrance and I stood there watching and stalking every car which entered. By around 2p.m., we had 13 cars! Woo-hoo~

I left around 2p.m. and took a long long time to get home. I was supposed to go back to Hall 13 to get my Impresario shirt but I totally gave up on traveling all the way to Pulau NTU, Boon Lay. I got home, bathed, sent out assignments, watched TV and went out to meet Fan Di, Simin and Sieyen to hang out together before reporting as volunteers for the Standard Chartered Marathon at 2a.m. at Padang. We walked around Marina Square before going over to meet Jing Ting+Junjie on the Esplanade rooftop. We wanted to be paparazzi but decided not to be very bright light bulbs and started taking theme photos ourselves. We went down to the Esplanade's new outdoor theatre and continued taking photos. We slacked around Singapore River and the outdoor theatre before going to 7-Eleven to get drinks.

Finally it was 1.30a.m.! We started finding our way to Padang and had some trouble getting across the road. After getting our volunteer's package and Adidas shirt, we went to the mobile toilets to change into the event shirt. Haha mobile toilets are quite interesting. Fan Di and I went over to gather in our drink station groups while the rest went to theirs, and we collected our breakfast and snack before going over to our allocated drink station somewhere on Nicoll Highway by bus.

The road was deserted cuz it was closed for the marathon. We ate our breakfast at 3a.m. before starting work. The first task we had was to move cartons of Aqua mineral water over to behind the tables, and remove the Aqua labels off the bottles cuz the official sponsor was Ice Mountain I think and unscrew the caps. We all thought that it was pointless to remove the label off the Aqua bottles cuz 1) we had to pour the water into paper cups [Ice Mountain paper cups] for the runners, 2) the runners wanted 100 Plus more than plain water, and 3) I doubt the runners care if they are drinking Aqua or Ice Mountain. Not that the Ice Mountain people will go around checking [but if anyone read this post, sorry!]. I wonder how many bottles we opened yesterday! Hand very painful! We started using the gloves provided, but it was a little too late.

At first we were wondering if we opened too many bottles cuz the bottles formed a small island on the ground behind the tables. 20 minutes after the marathon started, at around 5.50a.m., the leading group of runners [mostly from Kenya I guess since they bagged the top three positions for the 42 km full marathon] arrived and we were super high cheering for them! 7 km in 20 minutes!!! They were really fast and they really grabbed the cups, spilling 3 cups to take 1. When the other runners started coming in and taking drinks [and spilling more than they take], we were on a replenishing frenzy very soon after. We replaced the front-row cups, grabbed bottles from behind the tables, unscrewed bottles, pulled cups out of towers of paper cups, poured water into empty cups and replacing the front row, non-stop! Honestly, it was so routine it became fun! i think I wasted a lot of water cuz I kept spilling water due to speed and aching arms. My white shirt turned black and my berms got all wet cuz of water dripping [or rather, flowing] off the table.

It's amazing how polite the marathon runners can be while racing. =) Not just the not-so-serious ones who could afford to stop and say thanks, the ones speeding past actually thanked us too. Although they didn't have to cuz that was our job, it was nice to be appreciated. I think we should be thanking the cleaner who was helping us clear away the empty bottles behind us and open bottle caps. I was having such a hard time opening the stupid bottle caps with my almost blistered hand.

Finally at 9 plus, all the runners passed our station and we started clearing up and packing up. There was a lot of rubbish... We cleared a little and the cleaner helped to clear the rest. We got back to Padang around 10a.m. and rested there before collecting our token of appreciation of $20 [which goes to Impresario] and 20% Adidas voucher. Sieyen and Qian Lei [from Hwachong 6B] joined us around 11a.m. Simin joined us soon after and we were on our way home!

Sieyen and I took MRT to Marina Bay so that we get seats. I was awake until Marina Bay, but when the train stopped at Marina Bay before turning back in the other direction, I fell asleep. Thank goodness Sieyen woke up at Braddell and realized that the train door opened on a different side and woke me up. I alighted at Bishan and took the train back to Toa Payoh. When I got home, the first thing I did was to, of cuz, bathe. Actually, that was the second thing I did. I checked my email first. After bathing, at 3p.m., I decided to watch 完全娱乐！I fell asleep. When I woke up at 7.15p.m., the room was dark and the TV was on. I wanted to watch 百万大歌星！I fell asleep again. When I woke up again, it was 9.20p.m. and I realized I missed the first part of 星光大道！And I realized I haven't had dinner, nor was I hungry. I didn't want to eat but decided I should eat a little since I ate lunch at 11a.m. so I ate the cake my mother brought home on Friday and the snack given before the marathon. I fell asleep again during the last 10 or 15 minutes of 星光大道 and finally went to sleep proper.

I wanted to blog about this irritating group of students in our drink station group, but decided not to waste my time...

星光4似乎比星光1／2／3的学长们逊色许多。至今好像还没出现25分的表演，再好也不过21分。听到现在，比较有不错印象的只有方宥心、林鸿鸣、张涵雅和许雨柔。可惜许雨柔面对玺恩PK失败，被淘汰了。我个人是觉得她还挺有明星特质的啦。可惜，可惜...
