I shall talk about my freaky encounter after Vol15I9 Production Night 1. Honestly, I am quite disturbed by the EEE incident. Perhaps cuz I've been following the story quite closely (I've been reading almost every single news report on the incident from Monday to Wednesday, until production kept me busy) and have participated in writing 4 related stories. It just stays in my mind. I was unwilling to walk anywhere near that area at B6 on my way back to hall after the first round of production so I took a detour via B4 instead. All was nice and peaceful (cuz I was keeping myself occupied on my iPod and Lumines Block) until I took the lift to Nanyang Auditorium. I remembered pressing "1" and I looked down to check my phone. When I looked up again, I saw "B2" and "B1" lighted up too. Well... At B2, the lift stopped and there was no one. Same thing at B1. Gosh. I was so glad to reach Level 1. I wasn't all that freaked out until I got back to hall and told many people about it. I got more and more freaked out and went to sleep with all the talismans I could find. I swear I'm going to go Si Ma Lu to pray during the weekend.

Anyway, I've got things to say about journalism.

Participation in Chron editorial work has made me aware how irresponsible I had been as an intern a year ago. I have learnt from another perspective that writers tend to be over reliant on the editors to clean up all their mess. The problem is, the writer writes one story, the editor edits a million. You create one hell, the editor deals with many more. Many of us don't bother to edit our own article before submitting it to the editor cuz no matter what, the editor is going to give it a makeover. However, all of us can help reduce the need for a makeover and keep our articles in a state as close to your own creation as possible. Make it as perfect as possible, and make the life of the editor easier. I believe time will make things better as we all learn (seniors write so well I think I'll make things worse if I edit anything). Perhaps everyone should try editorial work and will learn a fantastic lesson (which I have). I shall be a responsible writer when I return for internship this coming break.

I shall go study for my Accounting quiz... (I don't know if I should start going offstone!!!)
