What an eventful day.

The day started with an encounter with my eye candy. Not really much of 緣份, but because he always takes that bus and so do I. Ya, that's all about my encounter. He's got a new bag. (I sound like a stalker.) I'm just being observant k...

Anyway, I was going to school for medical check mainly. It's compulsory for exchange, so Jing Ting, Sie Yen, Soon Kiat and I went to the NTU medical centre for that after hearing from Wei Liang that it's cheaper in school. For the medical check, I fasted since 10.08pm the previous night (I was eating roller coaster and suddenly realized it's after 10pm) and did not eat breakfast. Freaking hungry!

The first stop of the medical check was height-and-weight. I'm still below 160cm, not even 159cm. My weight is slightly less than my measurement a few months ago. Slightly, but better than nothing. Maybe it's because I didn't snack the previous night nor eat breakfast.

The next stop was consultation. The doctor I got was super detailed, in comparison to Jing Ting and Sie Yen's. Other than checking blood pressure, pulse rate and colour blindness, he checked my ears and neck, and used this thing to knock-knock my arms and legs, and then pressed my stomach to see if there are any problems. I spent damn long inside the consultation room. Jing Ting's doctor never checked much other than blood pressure, pulse rate and colour blindness. He never checked her ears but noted that her ears got problem. Weird doctor eh?

My doctor is super funny. After taking note of the things I have to get tested, he told me that it's going to be expensive and asked me more than once if I want to go check out the price first. Apparently someone ended the medical check halfway through because it was too expensive. But it's not like I can choose not to complete the check right? I need the results anyway, so I have to do this however expensive it is.

We were sent for urine test after that, and thank goodness there was no stool test! Totally disgusting! Not that urine test is not disgusting, but much better in comparison.

Finally we were told how much the tests will cost. In addition to the blood test and such, there are also the compulsory common flu vaccination and H1N1 vaccination, totaling to $208! Cannot help it but pay anyway.

Now it's time for the 重頭戲 of the day. *Poke poke* First up, the blood test. I am damn freaking scared of blood test, because nurses always cannot find my veins! She asked me to keep my fist clenched and arm straight, but as she drew my blood out, my grip grew weak. It's not really painful, other than the prickly feeling, just really uncomfortable. She drew two vials btw. After that came the common flu jab, which turned out to be quite painful. It was not that bad immediately after the jab, but it started feeling painful later in the day. There's still the H1N1 jab which I can only take on Friday because cannot take common flu jab together with H1N1 jab.

Finally, the medical centre part of the medical check was done, and we went up to the dental clinic to ask if we can do a dental check today. We were told to wait until 3pm if we want to do it today, so we finally went for lunch. Hungry!!!

After lunch, we went to do our course registration at ACRC. Finally we could login to the system! I can read Traditional Chinese, but when there is a whole chunk of instructions in Traditional Chinese, it's really hard to absorb. Four of us took awhile to understand how the course registration system works. NCCU has so many interesting modules! Excluding general education and common courses (which we can only register next week), I've already registered for 19 modules. We can register for a total of 30 modules, which leaves me 11 modules for general education and common courses. I want to take sports modules for fun!

We did course registration until about 3pm and went back to the dental centre. There were still people there so we waited there for awhile more. Our professor C. George was there too! And surprisingly, he recognizes us! The dentist asked both of us in, and left me at the side to wait while he does the check for Prof C.G. The dentist is very chatty and he was talking to Prof C.G. about the upcoming elections, while I eavesdropped by the side. Not like I can close my ears right?

When Prof C.G. was done, the dentist did the check for me and well, I've got like all the problems one can possibly get. When he was done with me, he asked if I'm a journalism student and realized we are Prof C.G.'s students. Prof C.G. said good luck in Taiwan! Hahah, 跟他不熟, so I just smiled and say thanks. Still very surprised a professor who taught us like one-third of one module remembers us.

Finally, everyone of us were done with our dental check, and we paid another $15 just for the check. And we hurried to Jurong Point to do X-ray before the clinic closes.

Sie Yen went to Courts to check out her dream camera but it turned out to be much more expensive. Shiyan and Fan Di joined us and Jia Wei in awhile. Then I went to NTUC to buy my luggage! A set of 25" luggage with 20" luggage for $45! It's just plain black, so I will be decorating it myself. I shall go Spotlight for materials soon!

We went for dinner at one of the Japanese restaurants in JP basement, together with my luggage.
